Rabbi Shlomo Chitayat zt"l, a resident of Eli Hakohen Street in Bnei Brak, 49, a father of five children, didn’t wake up to cries of his wife and children - and they were quick to call the rescue forces who came to the house and they could only confirm his death .
"It happened Shabbos morning at about 7:00," says Yoni Martin from Hatzalah. "When I got to the apartment I saw a man of about 49 lying on his bed, without a pulse and not breathing. A quick check revealed that the man apparently died during the night."
Additional medical personnel arrived at the scene, and Yoni Martin - who was on his way to morning prayers - left the room to leave. But the question asked by the 15 year old daughter of the deceased, shocked him: "How is my father feeling?" she asked.
Martin says: "I told her a senior team is now in the room, and making efforts to save her father's life."
The deceased's wife and children were informed later about the death of their father determined by MDA. According to family members, at night, around 12:00, the father said that he was not feeling well and vomited.
Yaakov Yuzaf , a senior medic at Hatzalah Dan , describes what happened : "We got the call in the early hours of Shabbos morning . We rushed to the scene and to our sorrow could only pronounce the death.
"This is an avrech who concentrated on his studies. After dinner on Friday night he went to shul to study for several hours. When he returned, he complained he did not feel well and went to sleep. During the night, apparently, he passed away. His wife, noticing in the morning that he does not respond, immediately summoned the rescue forces. "
Recently, the deceased married off his first daughter.
The funeral will leave his home at 22:00, and will pass through the synagogue where he prayed on 22 Menachem Street - and from there to the Yarkon Cemetery.
