Mohara"s: Bris? Only if baby will be called Ovadia

In the afternoon (Wednesday) a Bris was held in Yavne'el, the Breslev city, for one of the members of the community. As is customary, the community leader – Moharo"sh of Breslev, serves as Sandak at every Bris.

This time the Rav announced that he will not arrive at the Bris, if the newborn is not named after Harav Yosef Ovadia Yosef zt"l due to the proximity to his death.

Indeed, when he received the message that the baby will be called Ovadia, he arrived at the Bris.

Meanwhile, in the midst of a prayer rally held in Yavne'el for the recovery of Harav Ovadia zt"l on Monday, they received news of his decease. Moments later the Rav delivered a hesped with cries and shouting, while the audience joined him with sobs, and then went to Jerusalem to attend the funeral.
