This morning, around 5:45, a pedestrian on Professor Shore Street in Holon, saw a 13 -year-old boy lying on the road dead. He called the Magen David Adom, which could only confirm the death.

An initial investigation of the Ayalon police investigators showed that the boy - a young yeshiva student - returned with his family around 2:00 from his sister's henna and between the hours of 2:00 at 5:40 was killed.

At this time foul play is not suspected. The police estimate that the boy fell from the sixth floor building in which he lives. Cause of fall not yet known.

Renovations are taking place in the building, and during this period an extension is being built for a balcony. MDA medics arrived at the scene and confirmed the death of the boy, said: " This is a nine -story building fronted by scaffolding. He observed that the sixth floor was missing a wooden platter.

Ethan Adin, a senior medic of MDA on the scene, said: "When we arrived we noticed the boy in the building yard without a pulse and signs of life. We tried to resuscitate him, but we had to confirm his death." Adin added that members of the synagogue near the body of the boy saw and gathered there until the arrival of police and paramedics.

MDA senior medic said: "We received a call about a child falling from a height, when we arrived; we saw a 9-storey building in midst of renovation of balconies and front of the building had scaffolding. In the yard lay a boy of about 13 when he is unconscious and not breathing and with no pulse signs of life, we tried to resuscitate him and in no time we had to confirm his death."

Ethan added, "next to the building is synagogue, and people who came to pray saw what happened, gathered there and were shocked."

The student's body was removed by ZAKA volunteers to the Institute of Forensic Medicine.
