Unity in Seret Vizhnitz : After years of fighting and tensions between Rabbi Yaakov Hagar the only son of the Rebbe , and Rabbi Aharon Tuvia Shpitz from the U.S., the two reconciled during Shabbos at Ramat Vizhnitz in Haifa.
Rabbi Shpitz came to Israel last Thursday on the occasion of the fiftieth yahrzeit of the Rebbe the Makor Baruch from Seret Vizhnitz who remained in Haifa. There were those who thought that the visit would lead to tension but on Shabbos the Rabbi davened at the Great Beis Midrash and was present at the tish held by his brother in law Rabbi Hager on Friday night.
During the tish Rabbi Hager respected his brother in law and received an aliya. During the Shabbos morning seuda his son Rabbi Meir was honored with Birkas Hamazon.
The one who actually decided on reconciliation is Rabbi Yaakov Hager. One of the chassidim told B'Chadrei Charedim: "after all the slander he decided to cut a few things and bring about family and community unity."
Note the rebbe himself did not come to davening due to unstable health condition and the chassidim pray continously for the complete recovery of Rabbi Eliezer Ben Tzirel.
Central Hilula seuda will be held this evening in the Beit Midrash and the chassidus hopes that the Rebbe will be present.
The one who received the audience is the son Rabbi Yaakov Hager who received the chassidim at the Rebbe's house and passed the kvitlech to the Rebbe for a bracha.
