75-year-old Jew who came to the Jewish cemetery in New Jersey, was attacked, beaten and robbed by two youths.

The incident occurred on Monday at Grove Street Jewish Cemetery in Newark, when the man came to the grave of his parents. At one point his wife remained at the grave, and the man went to his car to fetch something.

Sandy Epstein, in charge of the cemetery, said that when the Jews came to the car and opened the door, two young men approached him and demanded at knifepoint from the vehicle. The man refused - and fought them. The youth hit him on the head with a baseball bat and cut a deep gash in his face. They stole his wallet and cell phone device and left the area.

The man was left lying on the floor battered and bleeding. Feebly he managed to get back to the grave, where his wife was waiting - and collapsed before her eyes.

The woman then call the police and rescue forces evacuated the wounded to hospital.

Epstein said that in the last thirty years, I do not remember a similar case of assault in the cemetery.
