Talmud Torah Bnei Zion of Bobov Hassidus in Boro Park forbade children learning in the institution to talk to goyim.
In a letter to parents, they are asked to alert their children not to speak to Gentiles and even to police officers and security guards .
The letter said: "We ask the honorable parents to watch over their children when coming to shull on Shabbos and Yom Tov, especially during the holidays when guards are near the Beis Midrash, not to talk to goyim even if they are in the role of security guards. Moreover parents are asked to remove an eye from the child and ask him to stand throughout davening next to his father. Parents are required to prohibit children to leave the shull alone or play unattended outside the shull."
A source in Bobov says that this is in order to prevent mishaps, due to the danger posed to children from perverts and eccentrics who may harm children.
"Today we can not trust anyone," they say, "There is no lack of problematic people even among police and security personnel.
Last week, the city began installing 100 security cameras promised to the residents of Boro Park after the brutal murder of Kletzky. Installing of security cameras was delayed until now because of disagreements between the heads of the police and neighborhood activists.
