Harav Ovadia Yosef's condition continues (Tuesday) to be severe, but still in stable condition. Slight changes favorably reported by physicians were maintained during the night, the hospital spokeswoman said at Hadassah Ein Kerem.
B'Chadrei Charedim received details of the Rabbi's conversations on the way to a mass prayer at the Western Wall for Hgrch'o's recovery earlier this week: As mentioned, some of the Gedolei Hatorah who participated were picked up by minivan from the entrance to the Sanhedria cemetery, among others traveling in the minivan was Rabbi Ben Zion Mutzafi, Rabbi Avraham Hafota, Rabbi Shlomo Machpud, Rabbi Yehuda Cohen Rosh Yeshiva Yekirei Yerushalayim, Rabbi Masud Elhadad, son in law of Hgrch"o - Rabbi Mordechai Toledano, the rabbi of Elad Rabbi Mordechai Malka, Rabbi Baruch Shraga Ab"d of Jerusalem, Rabbi David Berdugo and several grandchildren of Hgrch"o.
At first the Rabbi's recited Tehillim at the entrance to the cemetery, near the grave of Rebbetzin Margalit Yosef a"h, and from there went out to the Kottel and during the trip the Rabbi's brought up anecdotes of Hgrch"o's greatness.
One of the dayanim told of Hgrch"o's special way in granting dayanut certification: "When I was examined on dayanut before receiving certification, Maran requested that I come every morning to his home from 9 am till 1 pm. Each day he would test me thoroughly. Only after he saw I answered all the questions – did he grant me the certification.
