A recent study in the U.S. shows that the number of Jews living in the USA reaches more than six million people.

A recent study by the Research Center and Steinhardt Center and Cohen Center in the U.S., reveals that in 2012 there were approximately 6.8 million U.S. Jews, an increase of approximately one million.

Up until 2012 there was an estimated number of Jews living in the U.S. less than six million.

Study covering 32 pages it turns out that 40% of Jews are concentrated in six countries: 20% in New York, 14% in California, 12% in Florida, 8% in New Jersey, Massachusetts 5% and a similar number in Pennsylvania.

1.6 million of whom are children under the age of 18.

The survey emphasize that these are people who declare that they are Jews, but it is not clear if everyone is Jewish according to halacha. However the authors believe that the number of Jews living in the U.S. is a lot since many Jews especially Orthodox Jews are not U.S. citizens and immigrated to the United States but have not been registered in the population registry.
