Obama: "The military option is still on the table"

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met tonight (Monday) with U.S. President Barack Obama at the White House.
Netanyahu warned Obama during the meeting about being misled by the Iranian leadership recently.
Netanyahu came to New York yesterday and left today for Washington. After meeting with Obama he will return to New York where he is expected to address the UN General Assembly tomorrow and refer to Iran's nuclear program.
Following the meeting which was held behind closed doors, Obama and Netanyahu stood before the cameras and spoke with the press. Obama said he and Netanyahu agreed at their meeting that Iran must not acquire nuclear weapons.
U.S. President said that it's clear that Iran's words alone are not sufficient, and that Tehran must inspire confidence in the international community in action. Further said the U.S. entered into negotiations with Iran will hold eyes open and close consultations with Israel. He stressed that the U.S. does not download any option off the table, including the military option.
Netanyahu said he appreciated the clarification of the President of the United States that Washington is committed to preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. He said that Tehran is committed to Israel's destruction and has to force her to completely stop its nuclear program. He also said that he believed the military threat and sanctions are which brought Tehran to the negotiations table, and that must not reduce the pressure on Iran to sign up progress we can be confident in.
The meeting in Washington is the first meeting of Netanyahu and Obama since their meeting in Israel in March, when Obama visited in Israel. Netanyahu is expected to meet later at the White House with Vice President Joe Biden and State Building Department with Secretary of State John Kerry.
Netanyahu came to the U.S. on the occasion of the annual meeting of the UN General Assembly, held in New York. At the conference tomorrow Netanyahu will speak and the main message he is expected to try to send over to Iran, which the mullahs' regime in Tehran is trying to present himself willingness to compromise on the nuclear program.
