In middle of davening: Rebbe took care of protest ad in newspapers

Four days of spiritual elevation passed for tens of thousands of Satmar Hasidim, from the night of Hoshana Rabbah, Shemini Atzeres, Simchas Torah, and Shabbos Bereishis.

On the night of Hoshana Rabbah, at 9:30pm, the Rebbe entered the hall of the Great Beis Midrash in Williamsburg for the customary Mishneh Torah reading. At 12:00 they finished reading Mishneh Torah and the Rebbe entered the Tisch in the large sukkah, near the Beis Midrash.

At 2:30 AM after the Tish, they returned to the Beis Midrash for Tehillim recitation until dawn.

The next day, at 10:00 am, the Rebbe went for Shachris at the great Beis Midrash. After reciting Hallel and the Lulav shaking, he started saying the droshos on Hoshanos.

The Rebbe cried much for the ill, mostly about the fact that the known disease the image of G-d, heaven forbid. He told that a week ago a father came to him before his son's chalake, and asked what to do if his son doesn't have hair, from what should he make the peyos, Hashem yerachem.

The Rebbe further spoke about the terrible decree which is hovering over the inhabitants of Eretz Yisroel - 'lehaskicham torasecha' , and the terrible decree on the matter of Bris Milah in New York.

At 5:00pm they finished Mussaf and the Rebbe entered the sukkah for the Tisch .

On the night of Shemini Atzeres the Rebbe entered at 8:00pm for Ma'ariv and hakofos. In Satmar it is customarily that before hakofos, they dance the " introduction" – 'Yedid Nefesh' , with the introduction alone taking about an hour and a half. Hakofos ended at 12:30.

At 1:45am the Rebbe entered the Tisch, followed by a convoy of people on foot to Boro Park. At 10:20am on the day of Shemini Atzeres, the Rebbe came into Shachris before Tefillas Hageshem, wearing a kittel.

Before Kaddish the Rebbe turned around to his helper and asked him to call Harh"g R' Naftali Hirtzke Zvibel, Rosh Kollel and one of the Rabbonim of the " Va'ad mishmeresh Chomosayich Yerushalayim" of Satmar .

The Rebbe asked him that since the Prime Minister is arriving on Monday in New York and will have a royal reception, here we must not allow him to pass the visit without notifying the public what he condemns on residents of Israel, therefore he asks him to put an ad in two major newspapers in the U.S. (New York Times, and others) and now in these lofty moments he asked him to go up and fund raise to finance the 70 thousand dollars it would cost.

At 4:00 they finished the tefillah, and then the kidusha rabba was held in the large sukkah. Thereafter - farewell from the sukkah until the time of Rabbeinu Tam on Simchas Torah.

Night of Simchas Torah: the tzibbur davens and goes to have the seudah. The Rebbe arrived at 12:30am for Ma'ariv and hakofos were held until 6:15 in the morning of Simchas Torah.

At 7:30am, the public starts to go up to the Torah, as is customary before davening. The Rebbe arrived at 10:00 am for Shachris at the Great Beis Midrash.

The Rebbe began at 1:00pm 'Ata horesa lada'as' and after reading the psukim - hakofos with the introduction.
The amount of donations: $ 9.5 million.
During all hours of the night and the day, thousands came by foot from Boro Park and back, a two hours walk, to be close to the kodesh during these lofty times.

At 5:00pm the Rebbe began the seventh hakofah. A few minutes later, with the pressure of 16 floors of paranches standing up above the Aron Kodesh, the ark crashed and started to fall.

The public started fearing there would be a disaster.

The Rebbe heard the cries, and stopped the hakofos to see what was happening. At that moment the Aron Kodesh was blocked by the large chandelier and did not fall, thank G-d.

At 6:40pm they finished the hakofos, just 50 minutes before the beginning of Shabbos.

At 7:10 the Rebbe came in for Ma'ariv of Shabbos.

At 11:00 the Rebbe held a Tisch.

On Shabbos morning he came at 9:45 for Shachris .

Before krias haTorah, a Hachnasas Sefer Torah was held by the activist Rabbi Naftali Moshe Indig, in memory of his wife, of blessed memory, who died exactly one year ago.

During the Torah reading, in which community leaders, who donated large sums in favor of Satmar institutions in Williamsburg, Jerusalem and Bnei Brak, were honored. Together donations came to 9.5 million.

At 7:15 pm, the Rebbe arrived for Mincha and a Tish concluding the Yom Tov, which lasted until 11 o'clock at night.

Among the guests was also a candidate for mayor of New York, Bill De Belisio, who came to thank the activists for supporting him in the primary two weeks ago, in which he won, and ask for support for the elections, in about a month and a half, against the Republican candidate.

After the Tish, Ma'ariv and Havdalah - the Rebbe went to the balcony above the Beis Midrash to give his holy blessing to the crowd of thousands towards the upcoming winter months.
