Avrech refused to be evacuated on Shabbos and collapsed

Near the end of Shabbos, an avrech felt unwell in Bnei Brak. Rescuers sought to evacuate him to hospital but he refused until he lost consciousness and collapsed.

Consolidation drives were called to the Beit Midrash of Hgrs"a Stern on Kook Street to treat the avrech feeling unwell and collapsed. Following a 7-minute CPR in full recognition of the patient, he was evacuated by mobile Intensive Care Units in stable condition to the Tel Hashomer hospital.

Yisrael Kurnik, Hatzalah medic told B'Chadrei Charedim: "I got a call from the Hatzalah operator of a man who feels slight pain in his chest, I arrived and met the 36 year old avrech who complained of mild chest pains and examination revealed completely normal measures, I recommended the kollel student to immediately leave to the hospital for testing. But the student refused because it was Shabbos and asked us to call a gentile driver.

Whilst talking to him, he lost consciousness and had a cardiac arrest. I immediately started resuscitation, I connected him to a defibrillator and he received two electric shocks, after receiving electric calves I saw he regained consciousness, I continued along with the additional medics to maintain contact with him, with the arrival of the MICU team the avrech returned to full consciousness and talked to me and thanked me and told me "thank you for saving me - thank you hatzalah."

Effy Feldman head of Hatzalah branch in Bnei Brak said: "This is a miracle and an uncommon event - before the evacuation to the Tel Hashomer hospital even the man he regained consciousness was able to thank hatzalah for the successful resuscitation.
