In the early morning, towards the end of second hakafos, over a thousand Orthodox came to Kikar Shabbos in Jerusalem and began to riot, as they lit garbage cans on fire and threw stones.
Police called to the scene dispersed the rioters using reasonable force. Three policemen were slightly injured; two were taken for medical treatment. One policeman was treated at the scene.
Two ultra-Orthodox were arrested. According to the police more arrests are expected. The detainees will be released on condition of exclusion and deposits by police officer orders.
