Why did Prime Minister of France come to the synagogue on Yom Kippur

School staff and students came to school on Thursday and discovered destruction. Newspaper Ma'ariv reports today (Sunday) that the French Prime Minister Jacques Marc Euro surprised when he announced on Yom Kippur eve to Rabbi Moshe Sabag, Rabbi of Central Synagogue on Victoire Street in Paris, his desire to attend Yom Kippur services.

For the first time, according to the report, the Prime Minister of France participated in the prayer of Yom Kippur. Euro remarks said that France "will not tolerate any violation of freedom of worship and will continue to punish anti-Semitic incidents, racism and xenophobia with the utmost severity."
