Embarrassment in Uman: 3 policemen spent time at club and beaten

Confusion in Uman • Three policemen who were sent to secure the worshipers, spent the night of Yom Tov at the local club • A brawl ensued and one of them was wounded • The three returned to Israel

The Uman trip ended in a fight: Chief of Police, Chief Commander Yohanan Danino ordered three police officers who apparently were involved in a fight in Uman, Ukraine, to return immediately to Israel. During the violent incident one of the officers was slightly injured.

Three Israeli policemen who were securing the worshipers who came to Uman for Rosh Hashanah, were beaten by locals. The three went to celebrate on Rosh Hashanah at a local club in Uman, while desecrating the holiday. During the stay at the place, they were involved in a fight and one of them was slightly injured.

Due to this, Chief Commander Police Commissioner Yohanan Danino ordered the three officers to return immediately.

The three are part of a group of police officers who secure the worshipers every year. Details and circumstances of the incident will be investigated by the head of policing and security (IM) Aharon Aksul.
