A new chessen organization was recently founded in Brooklyn called 'Minyan'. The organization's goal - simple and easy: sending avrechim or bochurim to homes of aveilim who are unable to take care of that for themselves during the shiva, or to hospitals as needed.

Currently they have started in compiling a list of volunteers to the organization, and orderly distribution according to their area of residence. In case a patient or aveil asks to daven in a minyan, he can call the organization and let them know how many misipalelim are still missing to complete the minyan. The organization sends an instant message to its members, including the time of prayer and address, according to the requested area. Volunteers must arrive five minutes before prayer time. The tefilla itself must begin on the set time, and it is also a clear procedure in the regulations of the organization.

Naturally, such an organization should contain hundreds of volunteers, as a hundred people are sufficient for ten minyanim only. Therefore, to get a minyan for shachris, one must order until 9 pm. To get a minyan for Mincha and Ma'ariv, one must update up to two hours before the start of tefilla.

The organization works twelve hours straight: nine in the morning until nine at night. Since many of the volunteers are working people, and can not afford delays in prayer, the organization set a quota of time which is the optimum time required for each type of tefilla, when on a normal day shachris should not take more than forty minutes. On a day of Torah reading, one should add a few more moments. For Mincha, 15 minutes are allocated and for Ma'ariv a maximum of twenty minutes (abroad there is a minhag to add brochos after "hashkiveinu".)

Currently, the organization is in the registration stage and formulates the volunteers. Immediately after the upcoming holidays, the gemach is expected to run its services to the public.
