The Governor initiated a conference: Roshei Kollelim pledged not to cut

Due to cuts in the Torah world an emergency meeting gathered in the evening (Thursday) with the Roshei Kollelim in Modi'in Illit.

This includes 200 Roshei Kollelim in the city, from the largest Kollels or evening Kollel or Kollel Friday - Shabbos.

B'Chadrei Charedim has learned that a tycoon from the U.S. is behind the generous initiative to converge. They say he recruited his friends from New York to watch a special live and show them the great difficulty of the Torah world.

Conference was held in Nof Illit and words of encouragement were carried out by Rabbi Yaakov Edelstein of Ramat Hasharon, Kabbalist Rabbi Yaakov Hillel, local rabbi Rabbi Meir Kessler and Rabbi Aharon Dov Freund who heads the Beit Abba institutions in the city.

The message was one and central: to avoid as much as possible from cutting scholarships and on the contrary, try to add - especially now on the eve of the holidays. Each Kollel head has promised to do everything to keep the existing situation.

At the end of the conference each Kollel head has recorded his details which will be transferred to the governors who promised to help.
