Whilst Rabbi Elazar Berland isstaying in exile in Morocco, and community leaders are detained - a year after the collapse of the nationalist card performs subsidies, funds will be returned to the buyers.
Recall the community announced subsidies for tickets to Uman for Rosh Hashanah last year. Thousands of passengers were registered and paid for the ticket, but the operation collapsed.
So far less than 50 percent of ticket buyers got their money back, despite promises of community leaders to arrange the return of the payment as soon as possible.
But, starting tomorrow money shall be returned to applicants. Project cost of the return is over a million and a half dollars - donated by Eliyahu Girdis from Netanya, who belongs to associates of Rabbi Eliezer Berland. Each year Girdis was a ticket donor financing the operation, and this year decided to pay the debts.
Funds will be returned at the synagogue of Rabbi Amos Guetta on Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai in Netanya, starting at 8:00 am until 21:00 pm. The purchasers are to present ID and a receipt for the purchase. Call for more information: 07,222,761,950
Meanwhile, Rabbi Berland himself who is in Morocco, instructed all followers to travel to Uman for Rosh Hashana, although he will remain in Morocco.
