Monsey Police investigating: Who stole antique cup from Sheva Brachos?

Joy turned into sorrow. Simchat Sheva Brachos took place this week in Monsey, in the home of one of the city's residents, served a gold cup for Birkas Hamazon, which he inherited from his ancestors which they inherited from their fathers.

At the end of the evening, when the landlord had finished cleaning the house after the party, he noticed that the precious cup had disappeared. At first he thought that the cup was mistakenly thrown into the garbage and rushed to get out, to rummage through the garbage container near his home in an attempt to locate the cup.

But the search proved fruitless. All sealed bags were opened, but neither of them, found the cup.
Searches continued for hours and when he realized that the cup will not be found, he decided to call all the guests who participated in the event and check if anyone saw the cup. Even the waiters were asked to answer whether they saw the cup, but everyone pulled their shoulders with indifference and said no. No one has seen or taken it.

In desperation, he decided to involve the police. He filed a complaint with the police, told his story and presented them with the lists of guests and waiters and every stranger at the Sheva Brachos.

The police took the story seriously and promised a reward of five hundred dollars, to whoever is able to trace information leading to the lost cup. They also appointed a special investigator for the case.
