Operation Grandma Sarah: Three Arab robbers were captured

Today (Monday), in the late morning, 75-year-old Sarah Sdikler left her home in Jerusalem. On Daniel Street in the Morasha area, she noticed three guys marching towards her, but not for a moment imagined that the boys are going to rob her.

After a few minutes, the three men attacked her and aggressively tore from her neck three gold chains, with much sentimental value for her - beyond financial damage.

Sarah reported to the police immediately, and teams of Border Police and Jerusalem District Police began searching for the suspects by their dress description.

A few minutes later security cameras identified near the Old City three suspected robbers who fit that description previously provided by Sarah. Thus all the teams and troops focused on searching the area.

Fighter's team of Company C of the Police Jerusalem came quickly to the Flower Gate and identified from far the three suspects. When the suspects saw the cavalry, they tried to run away, and finally after a short foot chase caught two suspects who held two gold chains.

A minute later, the warrior, SFC Lior Alsace - serving in Company C received a phone call from his grandmother, Sarah Sdikler, where she told him that she was robbed a few minutes ago, and stole her gold chains. Lior was stunned and excitedly said to his grandmother: "Grandma, my friends and I caught the robbers and found two of your golden chains."

After examining the suspects it turned out that they are residents of Hebron in their 20s, which in addition to robbery - are illegal in Israel, and do not have permits. Suspects were taken for further treatment and investigation at the heart of the capital Jerusalem District.

Although Sarah was slightly scratched on her neck as a result of pulling out the chains by the robbers, the chains were eventually returned to her, and the event ended at the police station with a hug of thanks.

Sarah said that Lior and comrades, who searched and found the suspects and stolen goods: "Good for you, you do holy work. It had not been 10 minutes since I called the police, and already found the robbers and returned my jewelry."
