Harav Ovadia Yosef, who was hospitalized this morning at the Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital, will remain in hospital a few days for a process of testing and treatments – according to Hadassah spokeswoman.
Professor Chaim Lotan, director of cardiology wing, said that the Rav is feeling well and is under observation and treatment.
Harav Ovadia Yosef was hospitalized this morning (Sunday) at the Hadassah Hospital in Ein Kerem, after feeling unwell during Shabbos.
A month ago, the Rav was operated on and released back home on 45 Hakablan Street in Har Nof, Jerusalem. Although the fracture healed in his back, he was suffering great pain following infections caused by side effects from the surgery and as a result of the fact that most of the day he was careful to lie down on his bed, to hasten the healing of the fracture.
Last night Harav Ovadia did not give his weekly shiur. His son, HaRishon Lezion Chief Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef, filled his place.
Tomorrow there will be a tefillas rabbim at the Western Wall for his recovery, led his son, Hagr"y Yosef.
Family members ask to pray for his recovery: Rabbi Ovadia Yosef Ben Georgia.
