Two powerful explosions were heard today (Friday) in mosques at noon near the northern Lebanese city of Tripoli. The explosions occurred hours after Air Force attacked a terrorist center located seven miles north of Beirut, in response to the firing of rockets yesterday at Galilee.

Hourly reported 42 deaths.

Lebanese LBC network reported that more than 358 wounded were evacuated to hospitals in the city. "I saw seven bodies in a burnt-out vehicle," one witness said. A blast occurred near the house of former Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati. His office announced that he and his family were not in the area when the explosion occurred.

Monday a Hezbollah activist and two policemen were shot to death in the city.

Last week 22 people were killed in a Hezbollah stronghold in Beirut. Sony is not a recognized organization, called the Al - Aisha, claimed responsibility for the explosion
