Satmar takes a side: supports Atra Kadisha

Satmar Rebbe breaks his silence and takes a side in the Golobnzitz complex issue that threatens to divide the orthodox community.

Rebbe appeared yesterday alongside Ab"d Eideh CHaredi, who signed along with most members of the Beit Din the prohibition to dig in Beit Shemesh, and expresses protest against the violation of instructions.

In a large protest, published yesterday by the "rabbis of the Beit Din Kehal Yetav Lev of the Satmar community, rabbis protested against the excavations within the ancient cemetery in Beit Shemesh, where were they say, are four hundred burial caves.

"After Badatz lead by Gab"d heard it and took a judgment, not to dig and pry at the cemetery, they went out to protest those who go against them which is concerning all."
