Palestinian killed in Jenin; Nahal Haredi fighter was slightly injured

Palestinian killed, two others were seriously injured and two IDF soldiers were lightly wounded during operations held tonight by IDF Battalion Nezach Yehuda stream of ultra-Orthodox and the Border Police, the arrest operation - by Israel in Jenin refugee camp.

During the arrests began mass disturbances in town, attended by hundreds of Palestinians who fired at the soldiers and threw stones at them, grenades and improvised explosive devices.

Initial investigation, performed by Battalion Nezach Yehuda of Nahal Haredi along with the Border Police, show that in response to disturbances Menashe Brigade commander approved forces in the field to shoot at the lower body of the rioters, but the end of the event turned out to be one of the rioters killed . According to military sources, there is testing whether the shooting was not in accordance with the brigade commander or the bullet remnants which splattered to the ground led to the death of a rioter. Another possibility is that he was killed as a result of lower body injury.

The wanted individual was arrested and is under investigation by security forces.



One IDF soldier injured is a warrior from the Nezach Yehuda who was injured in stone-throwing during the disturbances. Resulting of throwing improvised explosive devices an IDF jeep was seriously damaged and disabled.

Meanwhile, other activities during the night arrested seven wanted throughout Judea and Samaria. In Nablus were arrested three wanted persons, one person was arrested in Qalandiya and two others were arrested in Al – Arub south of Bethlehem. Also, two Molotov cocktails were thrown tonight at IDF forces near the village of Beit Ummar north of Hebron, no casualties were reported.
