The cuts in the yeshiva world are hitting the largest kingdom of Torah in the world: the Mir Yeshiva, located in Beit Israel in Jerusalem. This time: the culinary field.

To this day, three huge dining rooms located in the building, Beit Yishaiah, were activated in the yeshiva. Now that the sword of cuts has been swung, one dining room has been closed and two others will continue to run but in the form of distributing portions at a bar, and not serving at tables, as it was until today.

The two dining rooms will work in shifts - from 13:35 until 14:20 only. Until today they worked in shifts when from 13:30 to 14:00 was the first shift and from 14:20 started a second shift in the dining rooms.

"There has been a decrease in the level of food," says a student at the yeshiva. "For example, last night instead of Nile perch or Tilapia, they brought cheap gefilte fish."

The decision to cut down on food is a direct continuation of the management's decision to charge tuition from parents of students - 400 shekels for those who are not boarding, and 800 NIS for those who board at the yeshiva.

Meanwhile, graduates living in Lakewood were asked to donate a dollar a day. Behadrey Haredim learned that the most famous Magid Shiur at the yeshiva - Rabbi Asher Arieli, is expected to go abroad for the first time to raise funds for the yeshiva.

At the Mir Brachfeld branch, cuts were registered with the beginning of Elul zman. For example, milk has not been served in the evening and more.
