Status of two of the wounded in the fatal accident on Thursday, has improved. The other's situation is still difficult.
Yesterday (Motzei Shabbos) the extended Wiesel family sat in their home until 1:00 at night and sang songs of faith. Residents living next door also sat on home porches and joined the singing of the orphans.
Tragedy occurred on Thursday morning at Kenot intersection near Ashdod and Rehovot, which deprived the life of Rabbi Yosef Wiesel, leading proponent of Dzikov - Vizhnitz, 45.
Four children who were with him the vehicle were injured and taken to hospital.
His daughter, a girl of 15, who was sitting beside him and was caught the car, hospitalized along with her brother who is two and a half in intensive care at Kaplan Hospital in Rehovot, when they are anesthetized and sedated in a difficult and unstable condition
The girl, who is 9 and a half, woke up over the weekend, and her condition is moderate and stable. She was transferred to a regular ward.
Four year old girl was released on Friday by the mother, and taken home.
The driver, Rabbi Yosef Wiesel z"l, attended the wedding of Dzikov - Vizhnitz.
At the end of the wedding he gathered his family and took his wife and two daughters to Ben Gurion Airport in Lod. From Lod the driver continued to Ashdod and brought his son to a local yeshiva in town.
Later he collected the children returned home to Rechovot but on the way at Kenot intersection near Gadera, a terrible accident occurred.
His wife, who flew to Switzerland to be with one of her children who is a patient at a medical center in the country, was returned upon landing immediately to Israel to attend the funeral of her husband, and to be with 12 children left orphans without a father.
According to initial investigation, the driver did not notice the red light, continued driving and a truck collided with great force in front of him about 100 meters before the Kenot intersection. The private car was trapped beneath the truck.
Family members call on the public to pray for: Esther bat Freida, Rivka Gendal bat Freida, Shimon ben Freida, Rachel bat Freida for a complete recovery.
Appeal for family assistance fund continues, and so far collected estimated 60,000 dollars. Of which at least 40,000 were donated during Shabbos Sheva Brachos on Dzikov – Vizhnitz in Meron.
