Hundreds of supporters of ousted Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi and two policemen have been killed since this morning (Wednesday), during the evacuation of the protest camp in the capital Cairo by Egyptian security forces.

The authorities claim that only eight people have been killed so far. In contrast, the Muslim Brotherhood reported that 120 protesters were killed in the first 40 minutes of the evacuation, and altogether about 500 protesters were killed. Broadcast live from the scene of the television channel of the 'brothers' bodies could be seen lying on the ground. Muslim Brotherhood leaders called on their supporters to the streets to protest the "massacre."

Morsi supporters sitting for six weeks at two sites in central Cairo - one opposite a mosque Raba Al - Adwiya in the east of the city, and the other at the square A - Nahda in front of Cairo University.

According to reports, security forces began evacuating early this morning and streets closed and sprayed with tear gas. Gunshots were heard at the squares.

Interior Ministry stopped the traffic and rail traffic in the area until further notice.

Earlier this week the Egyptian army and the police decided to evacuate the supporters from the Morsi complexes from the streets, and to restore the routine to the streets of the capital.
