Tragedy in Jerusalem: Rabbi Yeshayahu Shifman zt"l, Rosh Kollel in Ramat Shlomo, died yesterday at the age of 57, after a serious illness which occurred in recent months.

The deceased was born in Israel on 9th Iyar תשט"ז, to his father Rabbi Avraham Ben-Zion Levi Shifman and his mother Mrs Malka. He served as Rosh Kollel in the neighborhood of Ramat Shlomo in Jerusalem, and was one of the Roshei Yeshiva of Sheerit Yaakov in Har Nof and founder of the yeshiva. He held the Kollel he headed and trudged around the world to worry about salaries for yeshiva students.
