Lapid on opponents: "nervous schnauzers forgotten in the rain"

Following the disintegration of Yesh Atid in the surveys, where she lost at least a third of its strength and because of the harsh economic measures carried out, the Minister of Finance and Yesh Atid chairman sent a letter to party activists, explaining his footsteps.

They also know that in a legal world you cannot just go and take the money from the profits dungeon. It is also clear to them that for many years no party changed so dramatically national priorities.

"I take the disappointed seriously. We will have to reconcile with many Israelis who are angry. We'll go to them one by one if necessary, and ask them the simple question: 'Why does a political person who wants to be popular, take steps that by far harm their popularity?' The answer is, of course, our commitment is to do what is right for the country, not what helps us earn points, and if someone does not believe us - we'll just continue to prove to him that he would be convinced."

Referring to surveys Lapid responded: "A few weeks before the election surveys released showed we have five seats. There was never a survey which predicted we have over 16 seats, and we just continued on our own; person after person, street by street, neighborhood by neighborhood, until it happened. We will continue to do so and then not only will the disappointed return, they also bring with them their friends."
