Refused to rent because of candle lighting - Library caught fire

One of the favorite places for the Orthodox living in England during Bein Hazmanim was the Aberystwyth University complex, located near the beach.

Arrangement between the parties have been taking place for decades, but this year for the first time ultra-Orthodox were disappointed to discover, when they come to sign a rental contract with management that appears in the contract clause prohibiting the lighting of candles in buildings, fearing fires.

Vacationers management representatives explained that this is a draconian section for them, because they are supposed to stay in place even on Saturdays and they must light Shabbat candles. However, the management was forced to turn them away, claiming that insurance companies have hardened their managers and refuse to insure the dormitory, only subject to the liability of the tenant, that the fire will not be lit in them. The houses are mostly based on timber and hence the great fear from fire.
Since the administration, insisted on the contract, vacationers had to stop the alliance of many years, and sought other places as an alternative.

Anyone who sees a connection between what happened next, and divine retribution, does so at his own risk: last Friday night a huge fire broke out in the great library of the university and destroyed thousands of books, many of whom are rare and valuable. The damage is estimated at thousands of pounds

Amongst vacationers the news came with shock and surprise . There were those who noted that overall it is a great luck for them: "the way of anti-Semites, if we were staying there d, they may have accused us directly or indirectly of the fire. Everything Hashem does is for the good."
