For security reasons: Eilat Airport was closed for two hours

Following assessment by the IDF, abnormally this evening it was decided to close the airspace at the airport in Eilat for security reasons. But about two hours later, at 21:00, the field was reopened.
First it was announced that they will open the airport for landings, but later it was decided that departures will be completely closed at the air field.
After further assessment IDF Chief of Staff Benny Gantz ordered to reopen airspace in Eilat.
This evening eight landings are expected of all Israeli airlines.
IDF spokesman: "civilian airports are managed in coordination with the Air Force in accordance with the Airport Authority to evaluate the situation."
Yesterday a spokesman for the Egyptian army, General Ahmed Mohammed Ali, the Egyptian security forces last month killed more than 60 militants in Sinai and injuring more than a dozen arrested as part of a comprehensive campaign against the military and police organizations and active terror cells in Sinai.

While the Eilat airport closed the evening (Thursday), until midnight will pass at the Ben Gurion airport more than 70 thousand passengers. This is record breaking in terms of Ben Gurion Airport in Israel.
