Nine months ago, Rabbi Shmuel Scharf, Chabad activist in New Delhi, lost his wife hy"d by a direct hit from a rocket fired from Gaza at their home in Kiryat Malachi during operation Pillar of Cloud.

Scharf and his children were injured by the hit too.

Now, towards Rosh Hashanah, Rabbi Scharf decided to return to India with his children and set up "Beit Mira" – in memory of his wife hy"d.

"It would be a building which is entirely a memorial not only for the loss, but rather a sign that you can not beat the Jews. As much as they beat us as, so we will spread the light more strongly," he told Israel Hayom.

"Our decision to return to mission is not just to restore the activity we have done so far, but to add even more and increase the activity. One has to know to put aside the personal pain and loss and go forward."

Scharf returned two days ago from a preliminary visit to India, and visited his deputies, Rabbi Akiva and Mushka Sudri.
