The Shevet Levi turns 100 years old • "Regular agenda"

Joy in the Torah world: Hagaon Rabbi Shmuel Halevi Wosner, Baal Hashevet Levi, Av Beit Din of Zichron Meir in Bnei Brak and Lublin Rosh Yeshiva turned tonight (Wednesday) 2nd Elul, 100 years old.

Hgr"s is leading a usual agenda and gives weekly shiurim at his yeshiva.

Among the family of Hgr"s they asked at first not to specify birthday for fear of 'evil eye.' But in the end, gathered at his home dozens of children and grandchildren, to drink l'chaim for the occasion.

Tomorrow morning after the morning prayers and evening, Hgr"s will lock himself in his house along with his student and associate Rabbi Moshe Shaul Klein and will engage together in Torah learning. Reception will not be possible.

Rabbi Wosner has hundreds of descendants, and recently his youngest granddaughter became engaged, daughter of his son Rabbi Avraham Eliyahu Wosner, Shevet Levi community leader in Brachfeld.

As follows: this afternoon visited his home, the Vizhnitz Rebbe to invite him to his grandson's wedding, tomorrow in Kiryuat Vizhnitz in Bnei Brak.

Hgr"s was born in Vienna, Austria, and was a student of Rabbi Meir Shapiro of Lublin zt"l. He immigrated to Israel before the outbreak of the Second World War and lived in Jerusalem.

Then he moved to Bnei Brak and served as rabbi of Zichron Meir neighborhood, there he served as a leader of the tens of thousands who adhere to his rulings, and is Rosh Yeshiva of Chachmei Lublin.

We can only wish "that the length of days and years of life will add to you."
