Canada: Shtreimls in demonstration calling to "shoot Israelis"

Wearing Shtreimels and long Shabbos suits, activists of 'Neturei Karta' participated last Shabbos in an event held within the Yom el- Quds, marked annually in Iran and elsewhere in the world.

The event itself takes place on the last Friday of Ramadan, and it was marked in Toronto, Canada - where the former leader of the organization Palestinian Home, called in his speech for Palestinians to go out on a 'cleaning' escapade of Israelis, "We need to give them an ultimatum, either you leave Jerusalem or die. We will give them a time interval of 2 minutes if they do not agree, we'll just shoot them," he said. "Only this way they understand."

In calling for war against the Jewish state the leader said that "we should prepare for war with all the power we have in our hands."

Neturei Karta activists attended the event along with 300 activists, heard the speeches and carried signs with slogans against Israel and what they call "Zionism and Zionists."

This weekend the new Iranian President, Hassan Rohani, spoke within the Yom el- Quds. Rohani said that "Israel is a wound in the body of the Muslim world, and has to be removed." However, after causing a stir, the new Iranian president explained, "I was quoted out of context." Tehran argued that what was said was, "For years in our region the Islamic world pains about the occupation of the Holy Land of Palestine." They further noted that Rohani never mentioned the word Israel, nor that it should be "removed" as a scab.
