Lakewood: the vehicle struck the curb and moderately injured two children

A car driven by a young non-Jew drove yesterday (Sunday) afternoon on the sidewalk, injuring two orthodox children riding bicycles in Lakewood, and then crashed into a tree.

Two children, who live in South Lake Drive in Lakewood, were moderately injured.

One of the children - age 6 – was trapped under a car, but the people who gathered around the venue were able to rescue him when he was moderately wounded.

Rescue teams arriving at the scene, gave first aid for children following which they were taken to Jersey Shore Hospital.

Following the turmoil which erupted at the scene, the non Jew fled by foot. The street was closed to traffic and police began searches, whilst assuming that he was also injured. Indeed, shortly after the offending driver was located in a nearby house with injury to his arm and was taken to hospital under police care.
