New secular trend: Hafrashat Challa parties

In recent months, new fashion commands the secular world: evening activoties in which women conduct hafrashat challah with orthodox instructors, Channel 2 reported.

"I am Ashkenazi, and we do not do henna, so I thought we should find something else", says Daniel Kopolowitz who is separating with the single women these days. When asked which of the women once separated challah - the vast majority of women do not recognize the mitzvah.

Most participants are actually secular women who usually do not keep Shabbos, and connect to this commandment.

To her first hafrashat challah, Shoshi Moran came after she became ill with cancer. Since then she has never missed such an event. This week after recovering, she quickly came to conduct hafrashat challah, and she believes that the existence of the commandment is one of the things that strengthens her and keeps her health.
