Uman: Orthodox money changer was beaten and robbed

Haredi money changer, aged 42, was robbed in his apartment near the Zion of Rabbi Nachman in Uman, Ukraine. The bandit hit the head of the moneychanger using a stone, and he required stitches. His condition is defined as mild to moderate, and he will be released in the coming hours.

Moneychanger was in his apartment, where he also changes money for tourists and locals. Apparently the apartment door was open, and during the robbery attempt a stone was thrown at him who hit his head and he needed stitches. It is estimated that the robber took a large sum of money.
