Accident at Camp Lakewood: A parachutist at Camp Liba fell during landing and was wounded in front of hundreds of children.
An orthodox camp instructor at Camp Liba in Lakewood was supposed to parachute out of a helicopter in front of hundreds of children at the camp, and throw them candy bags.
The helicopter hovered over the camp located adjacent to No. 9, the central axis of Lakewood.
Three people jumped from the helicopter on their way to the camp center, one of which was supposed to throw candy bags for the children.
But one of the parachutists crashed to the ground and was injured on landing, in front of hundreds of students who followed him.
Rescue forces arrived, gave the parachutist initial medical treatment and he was transferred to the Jersey Shore hospital in fair condition.
