As in Communist Russia: MK Adi Kol from Yesh Atid was suspended from parliamentary activity at the Knesset after breaking the coalition discipline and failed to vote on the first part of the law of governance.
After she abstained from voting she apologized on her Facebook page and wrote: "Today I have refrained from voting on the Law of governance. It was a decision which affected mostly members of my party and I apologize."
However, the apology did not appease the Yesh Atid chairman, Yair Lapid, who ordered the faction chairman, MK Ofer Shelah, to suspend Kol until further notice.
In response Avodah chairman MK Shelly Yachimovitch and Avodah faction chairman, MK Yitzchak Herzog that they will make available to MK Adi Kol from Yesh Atid quota legislation excluded from her as punishment for abstaining.
A joint statement of Yachimovitch and Herzog reads: Kol was given the ability to submit private laws at the expense of the Avodah faction "when she wants to." Yachimovitch and Herzog added that they "respect her outlook and dislike the silencing exerted against her."
