Head of Personnel Directorate to commanders: Stand with Haredi soldiers
In a letter to all army officers Major General Orna Barbibay promised: "We will ensure full treatment against phenomenon of haredi soldiers attack" • requires: "Talk to them and report to law enforcement personnel adverse events"

Following the assaults of haredi soldiers recently, while preparing to expand the scope of recruiting haredim in the IDF, the Personnel Directorate head, Major General Orna Barbibay, sent a special letter to all military officers, with the promise: "We contacted law enforcement authorities to ensure full treatment of this phenomenon."
"Complex security challenges and operational needs in the present and in the foreseeable future require the implementation of an extensive recruitment in the IDF as possible by maximizing the quality our advantage against rivals - that inherent human factor," wrote Barbibay.
"The IDF is operating from its foundation to integrate a serving from all walks of society. As an integral to the realization of this concept, thousands of Haredim joined the army in recent years and joined the various tracks, and perform meaningful service. Combination of the Haredi sector in the IDF is another step toward creating equality duty service."
"Today, 3,000 Haredim serve in the IDF who volunteered for combat service tracks, routes and tracks for information technology, including the armed forces, among other things in units. We are continuing efforts to create a dedicated service tracks which will allow the extraction and release skills in the IDF which will contribute to their ability to integrate into the labor market and affect the strength of the state."

To eradicate this phenomenon, we initiated a request to the Israeli police and law enforcement authorities with the intention to ensure that all such damage will be handled immediately and to the full extent of the law.
"The involvement of your officers is being especially weighed, with the support of the soldiers, encouraged and openly taking into account the special circumstances that characterize their service and their unique needs.
