Karlin-Stolin Rebbe
During shachris in the Beis Midrash of Karlin Stolin in Givat Ze'ev this morning (Monday) the Karlin Rebbe confiscated a cellular phone which rang in the middle of prayer.
The chossid's mobile phone was on the alarm clock, the Rebbe heard the alarm called the chossid after prayer and confiscated the device.
The Rebbe asked to announce after prayers that cell phones will not ring in the Beis Midrash any longer.
As recalled, last Purim the Rebbe surprised the Chassidim who were passing for a lechayim, who were first asked to give the Rebbe their Smartphones, such as iPhones, BlackBerry and Galaxy.
