Poster which called for murder of haredi soldiers turned out a hoax: police investigators of Zion District, Lev Habira station in Jerusalem, arrested today (Sunday) for questioning a 57 year-old resident of Beit Shemesh, the suspect who sent the e-mail containing the poster with the inscription: "Chardakiri - perform charkiri on every Orthodox soldier", sent to Hiddush CEO two weeks ago.
The suspect confessed, but claimed he did so as a joke "to see who goes against the ultra-Orthodox first."
The suspect was taken at 16:15 to the Magistrates Court, for remand hearing. At the end of legal proceedings the suspect was released under the following conditions: do not use the Internet for 30 days and will not use the computer for that period. Sign a personal guarantee as well as third party guarantee of 5000 NIS. The respondent is allowed to go to synagogue for prayer times.
The poster circulated two weeks ago seeking volunteers for 'Chardakiri' against ultra-Orthodox soldiers. Hiddush Religious Freedom and Equality filed a complaint against those posters.
Under the heading 'Operation Chadakiri' the poster read "to elegantly carry out Pinchas's devotion of envy and take a javelin in his hand." Telephone numbers advertised on the poster leading to the organization 'Mevazer- "Center for Defense Center for recruitment problems." It has been noted that it may be a gimmick or hoax.
Posters were found in Ramat Shlomo in Jerusalem. It is written that there is no absent enemy of our time, but the evil regime and its Chardakim agents, who act as Zimri being amongst daughters of Midian in the presence of the Zionist army. "
It also said that "Throughout Eretz Hakodeh people are called out to act like Pinchas and go against every Chardak and Chardak until they are no longer seen or found, thus they will not continue to act this way amongst Kerem Yisrael."
