Drama in Bnei Brak: During a wedding at Hod Vehadar - Yad Ezra, on King Solomon Street, a groom fled the wedding hall and refused to go back and stand under the chuppa.
Meanwhile the guests left the hall due to the drama, until the return of the groom, the bride remained the only the women in her chair saying Tehillim, and ... waiters who sat down to eat.
Information obtained by B'Chadrei Charedim indicates that the groom demanded the chuppa will be at midnight.
Following negotiations held between the parents of the groom and the groom himself and fallowing a call directly transferred from Morocco during which he spoke with Rabbi Eliezer Berland – the groom agreed to return to the hall. Later the bride, who is part of the Shuvu Banim community, decided that she too has a dilemma and she too spoke with Hgr"e Berland.
After the groom relented, he returned to the hall and started dancing with his friends, but the bride was not yet convinced, and shut herself up with her mother and a social worker in an adjacent room.
At around 1:00 Hgr"m Shafran arrived and spoke with the parties and participants who then dispersed to their homes - without holding the chuppa.
