End to the student's saga of Satmar Yeshiva, distanced after going against the yeshiva rules. A special court was established for ruling on this matter; has determined that the yeshiva must return them.
Here's a little background to the case shaking the families and yeshiva management in Williamsburg: Before the yeshiva split under the leadership of the Satmar Rebbes, these yeshivas were communal. Namely, the community feels obligated to hold under its wings all students of Hasidism, even if there were amongst them, those who didn't acclimatize, or did not meet the yeshiva standards.
All this was in effect as long as the Rebbe the Baruch Moshe of Satmar zt'l, instituted the flock.
With his departure, when the New Admorim began to lead the congregation the yeshivas began, each for it, edited selections. A boy who did not conform, found himself outside, or not accepted at all. This creates a situation, in which many students had to go to other yeshivas, or in the worst case, they found themselves wandering the streets.
In time for this previous zeman, twenty students found themselves excluded from the ranks of Williamsburg Satmar Yeshiva, following deviation from the yeshiva. Thus, for example, boys who held in their possession mobile or new glasses which were overly trendy received a deportation order.
Starting on today, which the yeshiva students left to the 'Country', the way they do every year during summer, now formed the Great Rift. Whoever sees a student wandering in the city shuls, takes into account that the student is not present in the yeshiva, because every standard boy, should be staying now with yeshiva summer camps in the Catskills.
Parents could not bear the shame. They tried to negotiate with management h since the month of Iyar, but ran into a brick wall of resistance. Crime and Punishment was overly heavy for them. Proposed solution to parents in the form of smaller yeshivas in quantity and quality is not that the parents were obtained for the simple reason that these tagged frames for weak students. "It makes no sense," argued the parents fervently, "we have built, had the excellent talent, need to learn in yeshivas whose quality is less, only because iniquity is easy like this. Certainly, there is nothing like learning amongst hundreds of students in talented learning framework than a weak one, the results of which are known in advance and do not confer a chance to rise significantly , as in a large yeshiva - literally and figuratively.
Since the negotiations between the parents and the management of the largest yeshiva, reached a dead end, it was decided to establish a special tribunal to rule and decide.
Three judges constitute the Court in this. This is the great rabbis, Rabbi Shalom Glick Community Thas Dayan, Rabbi David Super Oiahn Community Dayan and Rabbi Shimon Yoel Weinberger Dayan Community Skolan and son in-law of the Rebbe of Skolan.
Three meetings were held in the Court, attended by representatives of parents and representatives of the yeshiva. Each side, raised his reasons and arguments, as does Jewish law.
The last and decisive meeting took place yesterday, the third day. At the end the judges decided that the best interests of the students are above the considerations of the management of the yeshiva.
"It's not students whose actions are environmentally disastrous. Overall these are good students, whose sin does not justify permanent exclusion and they are wronged and spiritual damage with their exclusion. Accordingly, the yeshivas must return them immediately to its ranks, without delay."
