Left Israel to raise funds, was wounded and returned to Israel for treatment: Rabbi Baruch Wilhelm's charity collector was critically injured in a car accident in Lakewood and this morning was brought to Israel for further treatment

Left Israel to raise funds was seriously injured and was flown back for treatments

Rabbi Baruch Wilhelm from Modi'in Illit, known as charity collector of the organization Vehechezakta Bo, was critically injured three weeks ago in a car accident in Lakewood - was brought this morning for further treatment and hospitalization in Israel.

The accident occurred on Madison Avenue at 6th Street, when Rabbi Wilhelm crossed the road heading for the donors.

A fast passing car, hit him and threw him a great distance, until he landed on the road and taken to a hospital near the JERSEY SHORE Lakewood (15 km) to the Emergency Trauma Department.

Rabbi Wilhelm underwent several surgeries, while unconscious, in a letter published from Lakewood the public were asked to pray and do everything to help and assist Rabbi Raphael Baruch Ben Esther Haniya, along the lines of the letter reads: May Hashem help and heal him quickly. The letter is signed by Hgray"l Steinman and Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky and Hgr"s Auerbach as well as Roshei Yeshiva from Lakewood.

Due to his serious condition rabbis from Modi'in Illit has also added the name 'Raphael'.

The public is requested to continue to pray for the recovery of Rabbi Raphael Baruch Ben Esther Haniya who is need of rachamay shamayim.
