Haredi soldier who was attacked this afternoon (Wednesday), on Malachi Street in downtown Jerusalem, reacted violently against the attackers.
A series of assaults against haredi soldiers were recorded over the last three months in haredi concentrations since the incitement campaign started against them, which was accompanied derogatory and degrading cartoons against haredi soldiers.
The soldiers generally refrained from responding. But Behadrey Haredim learned that this afternoon a soldier was attacked on Malachi street of Jerusalem, Mea Shearim, by a bochur from Bnei Yerushalayim yeshiva, he defended himself and reacted violently against the attacker.
When a commotion occurred on the street and passers-by began to gather around the two – the soldier fled.
"The soldier seemed more hurt than ever," one witness said in a conversation with Behadrey Haredim, "apparently while trying to protect himself and so that the calls of the young man will not develop into a great turmoil, he attacked the boy, and disappeared."
