Alarming escalation: Armed Syrians arrived at an unmanned IDF outpost, east of the security fence and fired at soldiers in the Tel Fares. None of the soldiers was injured, troops were dispatched to the area.
Today (Tuesday) two armed Syrians penetrated an unmanned outpost of the IDF in the fence, and then opened fire on a military patrol. None of the soldiers was injured. After the incident, the alarm sounded in Katzrin, probably a false alarm.
Gunmen, apparently belonging to the rebel forces fighting the regime of Bashar Assad, IDF soldiers on a routine patrol on the axis of the system recognized them, and when stopped to check the event - came under gunfire.
The soldiers returned fire at the source of fire. There were no casualties and no damage to IDF forces. Additional forces were sent forward to open scans.
Even earlier today Israel has suffered fire, as part of the battles between rebel forces and Assad's army. During the morning hours about 25 mortar shells fell on Israeli territory, mostly in the Syrian village of Al - Dray linked to the Quneitra border crossing. Seven bombs fell west of the security fence nearby and others in the segment demilitarized zone between the border fences, a strip of land a few dozen meters set in Israel.
