On Monday, at 15:30, will be brought to the District Court in Jerusalem, Yosef Brown and Yaakov Krishevsky - filed against them last Friday indictment for rioting and assaulting police officers during the rescue of the soldier last week in Meah Shearim. Until then, according to the plan, Jerusalem will burn: "These are victims of hostile media."

Activists in the Eideh Charedi attack the District Court's decision to leave the accused in custody, "police made every possible legal maneuver to keep them in custody because they are aware of media coverage around the story and although it is not necessary," said a senior activist. "Pictures presented, proved in court that the two men filed charges against them, are innocent victims, and the police are the ones who used violence against them."

"Immediately after the attack on the soldier in the neighborhood, police arrived with reinforcements and in light of media hype had to make arrests. There is no doubt that the men sitting since last week in detention, are victims of hostile media and police who did not do enough to stop the attackers themselves and are satisfied with the detention of innocent people."

On Friday night, hundreds of people took part in the Kabalas Shabbos at the Russian Compound in protest against the continued detention of the two defendants - until Monday. The demonstration was relatively calm and the police station prepared for riots in advance. Although during the nine days there is no demonstration on Shabbos afternoon, large police forces arrived this afternoon at Haneviim Street, fearing there may be serious rioting following the arrest of the two.

"Police should punish the rioters"

Following attempts to secure the release of Brown and Krishevsky, came to new heights last Friday. Trying to impress the Judge Reuven Shmaya in the District Court, it was first heard from officials in the Eideh Charedi condemnation for attacking the soldier in Meah Shearim. "We think that whoever touches a soldier, or a private individual, should be punished," said activist Shimon Brown, the father of Yosef Brown, sitting in detention, who is considered a prominent figure in the Eideh Charedi.

"Here in our yeshiva there is no boy who will throw a stone," added Brown, "As soon as our rabbi knows of a boy who throws a stone, two - three weeks he is not in the yeshiva. Roshei Yeshiva are ready to voice calls and condemn this behavior towards the orthodox soldier and against any soldier, and the riot against the police. There is a small group who does not listen to anyone - and they make all the mess."
Hagaon Rabbi Moshe Kahn, head of Yeshivat Matte Aharon in Beit Shemesh, where one of the detainees learns, said surprising things: "We condemn outright the attack against the Haredi soldier. We clearly condemn the assault and rioting. We say that to our yeshiva students. "

The head of Yeshivat Dushinski Beit Shemesh, said similar words: "I really would like help from the police to punish the rioters, we suffer them no less than the state. We not only defend, we do all the activities, try to stop it. And you know pretty well that you cannot reach particularly since we are talking about few and marginal people in our society. You talk with one of the people leading this special battle against it. It was strange to me that I should come and defend myself that I do not riot, I am the chief."

Until the release of the detainees from the jail, extremists are likely to hold demonstrations against the decision. However, even these demonstrations there are broad agreement. "We have a goal to keep quiet," said another activist, "We will come to the hearing on Monday and police will not have claims against us."
