Hgr"a Yosef investigated • suspected of breach of trust

Rabbi Avraham Yosef, the rabbi of Holon, was questioned today (Wednesday) morning at the offices of the National Fraud (Fraud Squad) under caution on suspicion breach of trust relating to conflict of interest in the role, the context for the legitimization of mehadrin kashrus.

At the end of the interrogation, which lasted for eight hours, the rabbi was released under restrictive conditions to his home.

Lahav said: "Rabbi Avraham Yosef, the rabbi of Holon, was investigated at the unit offices this morning on suspicion of breach of trust offenses relating to conflict of interest in the role, the context for the legitimization of mehadrin kashrus. Completion of the investigation lasted about eight hours and the rabbi was released under restrictive conditions to his home."

Information obtained, by B'Chadrei Charedim, it is clear that Shas transferred to MK Eitan Cabel a fitness certificate signed by Hgr"a Yosef given to a person that has no halachic or religious connection. MK's office did not respond.
