Erloy Rebbe recommends: name the baby after Hgry"s

Erloy community is surprised and excited following a new directive which was repeated recently from the Rebbe: fathers of babies went to the Rebbe and asked to consult on the recommended name to give the newborn at the bris, as is customary amongst chasssidim. But if they offered the name Yosef, the Rebbe advised to add Shalom, after Rav Elyashiv zt"l.

Such was the case when an Erloy chassid and resident Elad, entered the Rebbe and said that he wants to name his newborn Yosef, the name of his deceased father in law. "Add the name Shalom after Rav Elyashiv", the Rebbe instructed.

Between the Rebbe Shiblht"a and Rav Elyashiv zt"l there was close and friendly ties for decades, and they had much admiration and appreciation towards each other.
Last Shabbos, the day of the yartzeit of Hgry"s, one of the institution directors of Erloy, a Beitar resident and Boyan chassid, told the following anecdote:

A few years ago, when the Erloy institutions held a dinner, the first of its kind for philanthropists and businessmen, to that they will contribute to institutions. The managers went to Hgry"s, since they knew like everyone else on the friendship that prevails between the Gedolei Yisrael, and asked him to write a letter with his blessing for the occasion. Hgry"s agreed to this and sent to the dinner his close associate Hagaon Rabbi Efrati, who read at the event the enthusiastic letter of Hgry"s.

"Who gave you the right to disturb Hgry"s from his learning?"

Whilst Rabbi Efrati read out the letter, The Erloy Rebbe was in attendance and listened attentively. The next day, the Rebbe summoned the board and after he thanked them for their effort and organizing the special evening, he severely rebuked them: "Who gave you permission to disturb Hgry"s's learning, even for a moment? Every second is equivalent, measured and numbered. Writing such a letter requires time and his time is too precious, and this is bitul Torah caused to Hgry"s because of you"...
The directors were embarrassed. They did not think how much the Rebbe is sensitive and has affection to Rav Elyashiv's learning.

In Erloy they remember that when Hgry"s returned from the Shaarei Tzedek Medical Center after spending a few days there, following treatment, the Rebbe came to visit him at his house.

The Rebbe refused to take a chair and sit down. He continued standing on his feet, and said to Hgry"s: "I came to visit you and see how you are feeling. We wish you a speedy recovery."

After Hgry"s replied: "We thank Hashem for everything. Amen "- the Rebbe turned around and left the house without any further delay.
