A drowning incident occurred on Shabbos afternoon in the midst of Torah reading in Coalt Springs.

A toddler aged 18 months was wandering alone and reached the local pool. He managed to sneak in through a hole in the fence surrounding the pool.

The boy looked at the water, slipped inside and began to drown. His three year-old brother, who was with him and watched, rushed to call his mother with loud cries.

The residents rushed to the scene, managed to break through the locked gates of the pool and pulled out the drowning toddler.

Hatzala members who also rushed to place, worked for an hour to revive the infant. After his condition stabilized, he was rushed to Harris, and then by helicopter to Westchester hospital.

The child is in critical condition and the public is asked to daven for the rapid and quick recover of Ze'ev Aryeh ben Nechama, betoch shar cholei Yisroel.
